Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that breaks conventional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of forbidden practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret cult.
The adventure focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Features
Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Unique arms
- Survey Corps vehicle
Latest Free Story Addition
This patch also adds the game's latest complimentary story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
